UDHAMPUR: Principal Secretary, Health and Medical Education, Dr. Pawan Kotwal on Sunday visited Udhampur and reviewed the working of Health Department in the district.
Dr. Kotwal directed the concerned officers of the department to display the list of free drugs available in the District Hospital and conduct surprise inspections at the counters where these free drugs are made available to the patients. He also stressed upon the officers to ensure that proper colour coding is followed in all the health institutions in the district.
The Principal Secretary asked the concerned officers to implement PMSMA (Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan) scheme effectively and ensure proper monitoring of ASHA kits. He also stressed upon them to track all high risk pregnancies.
Later, Dr. Kotwal visited District Hospital and inspected its various wards like Registration counter, Emergency units,ICU complex, CCU, Labs , general stores etc. He also visited CMO Office and Polytechnic College Udhampur.
DDC, Ravinder Kumar, Director Technical Education, Shabnam Shah Kamini, MD NHM Dr. Mohan Singh , Director Health Services Jammu Dr. Gurjeet Singh, CPO Ashok Khajuria, ACR Subhash Chander Dogra and CMO Dr. K.C Dogra were also present on the occasion.
