KALAKOTE: Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate from Kalakote Assembly segment Abdul Gani Kohli visited several areas of Kalakote Constituency and held public rallies.
Several leaders from National Conference (NC) and Sarpanchs on Saturday joined the BJP and extended their support to Kohli. Prominent among those who joined BJP include Sarpanch Choudhary Muzaffar Hussain, Akhtar Ahmed Choudhary, Mohammad Farooq and several of their supporters.
Speaking on the occasion, Kohli said that keeping in view the past performance of the NC, PDP and Congress, BJP is emerging as an alternative for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Dubbing present regime headed by Omar Abdullah as worst ever corrupt dispensation the candidate for Kalakote Assembly segment exhorted the people to vote BJP to set up a accountable and transparent system of governance in Jammu and Kashmir.
“Corruption in the State has crossed all limits and we need a clean government to eradicate the menace of corruption and nepotism”, Kohli said.
He said that during last six decades people of Rajouri District have been discriminated when it comes to employment and education while focus of successive State Governments has remained towards Kashmir Valley.
“Time has come to give voice to the people of Kalakote who have faced worst kind of discrimination and people cutting across religious consideration should vote for BJP to fulfil the promises of good governance and corruption free administration by Prime Minister Narendra Modi”, Kohli said.
“Avail this golden opportunity for the better future of your younger generation”, he added.
He exhorted upon the people that only BJP has capability to change fate of the people of Jammu region. “The coming elections is an opportunity before people of Jammu region particularly in Kalakote to form their own government in the State and see the difference how the government will work for their welfare”, he said.
