KISHTWAR: A Police Women Investigation Cell has been established on Friday within the premises of Police Station Kishtwar to deal with heinous crime against women like rape, dowry, death, acid attacks, human trafficking and domestic violence.
Sandeep Wazir, SSP Kishtwar, Tussif Ahmed-KPS Dy.SP Hqrs Kishtwar, Sameer Jeelani-SHO Police Station Kishtwar were present on the occasion.
SSP Kishtwar said that crime against women are increasing day by day. So it was need of hour for establishment of Women Investigation Cell which will provide a platform to such women who become victim of domestic violence and other heinous crimes like rape, dowry acid attack, human trafficking etc.
He further said that such women can easily approach the said Women Investigation Cell for redressal of their grievances.
