SOPORE: Police on Friday recovered a kidnapped girl and arrested the accused. As per details, on December 15, 2020, Police Station Tarzoo received a complaint from a persons, resident of Hugam, alleging that his 17 years old daughter has been kidnapped by a person namely Lateef Ahmad Dar, son of Ghulam Mohammad Dar, resident of Hanjipora Hygam. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 119/2020 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Tarzoo and investigation was initiated.
A special team headed by SHO Police Station Tarzoo, acting on specific leads, recovered kidnapped girl and arrested kidnapper from Hajin Bandipora area. He was shifted to Police Station Tarzoo where he remained under custody. After fulfilling all medico-legal formalities, the girl was handed-over to her legal heirs. Further investigation in the matter is under progress.
