Jodhamal students win IAYP Gold Awards

JAMMU: The Gold Award Ceremony of the International Award for Young People (IAYP) was held recently at India International Centre, New Delhi. The ceremony was preceded by an interactive session with Himmat Kalsia (Chairman, Award Programme Foundation) and Dr. Sanat Kaul (Managing Trustee, Award Programme Foundation).
These awards were earlier known as Duke of Edinburgh Awards. Four students from Jodhamal School namely Arpita Salgotra, Ullas Mahajan, Shivani Verma and Mayank Mahajan won the gold award.
Jodhamal School Teachers Shallu Sharma and Deepta Khushoo were given awards for their meritorious services. Director IAYP, Kapil Bhalla and Programme Manager Bivujit Mukhoti had all praises for Jodhamal Public School.
Gold Award Holders and Award Leaders across India were felicitated by the Chief Guest Abbas Ali Baig, former member of the Indian cricket team.
The ceremony provided a platform for gold award holders and award leaders from different parts of the country to share their stories of achievements under one roof.
Gold Awardees were highly elated to receive this award from the ace Cricketer Abbas Ali Baig.
