JKPS Kunjwani organises Shamia Memorial Basketball Championship 2023

JAMMU: JK Public School Kunjwani lifted the rolling trophy of Shamia Memorial Basketball Tournament, which is organized every year by JK Educational Society at Shamia Basketball Court of the School. Shamia was the budding basketball player of the school, who represented school at national level. She was snatched by the cruel hands of destiny. However, she still continues to inspire the young aspirants of the school in this field.
The Chief Guest on this occasion was Yousaf Chaudhary, father of the late Shamia Chaudhary. The Guests of Honour of this great event were Siddharth Daluja and Gautam Daluja, members of JK Educational Society. Shashi Chaudhary, Director JK Educational Society, Rajesh Rathore Principal JK Public School Kunjwani and School Coordinator, Inderjeet Kaur were present on the occasion.
The semi-finals were played between Birla Open Minds International School Jammu and APS Jammu Cantt. In Group B, it was played between Wazir Jankinath School Jammu and JKPS Kunjwani.
The final match was played between JKPS Kunjwani and Army Public School Jammu Cantt. The JK Public School Girls won the tournament while APS Jammu Cantt was given Runners up Trophy.
Yousaf Chaudhary handed over the trophy to the winner Team. Director Shashi Chaudhary and Principal Rajesh Rathore gave away the prizes and certificates to the participants.
The proud winners of JKPS Team are Amaira Gupta, Amanpreet Kour, Sachleen Kour, Aaliya Waseem, Tanvee Singh, Sangam Rajput, Aviral Shrikul, Zoya Majis, Anjali Verma, Malvika Panjgotra, Eshal Nisar Khana & Plaksha Gupta.
The event was well planned and organized by the School Coach Manoj Kumar Solanki, HOD (Sports) Subash Chander and his team. The Team was prepared by the School Coach Manoj Solanki.
