STATE TIMES NEWS
BHADARWAH: Due to ongoing volatile situation and continuous uncertainty in Kashmir Valley, students of Chenab Valley, who earlier opted to appear in Jammu and Kashmir Common Entrance Test (JKCET) in Kashmir are now demanding that they should be allowed to appear in the same at Jammu.
Due to their proximity ,dozens of students of all the three districts (Doda, Kishtwar and Ramban), instead of Jammu opted to appear in JKCET exams in Kashmir Valley at the time of filing their forms.
Parents of the aspirants are worried about the future of their children as according to them they already missed National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) which was held on 24th of this month. “My daughter Rimsha has been toiling hard for the last more than one year to crack the competitive exams and was quite confident to make NEET, but we were not allowed to enter the Valley and were stopped at Jawahar tunnel on 23rd of July,” said Dr Tariq Pervaiz of Mohallah Faridya ,Doda.
“Administration made all the arrangements for Valley students to ensure their participation in the competitive exam (NEET) but they never gave a damn about scores of candidates from Chenab Valley. Now my daughter is in state of shock and my humble request to the concerned authorities is to at least shift the venue of Chenab Valley students to Jammu,” he added.
Similar concern and apprehensions were raised by other students who missed NEET.
