JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir women finished runners-up in the just concluded 25th Federation Cup Tennis Ball Cricket Championship at Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh (UP).
As per the reports reaching here, J and K women were beaten by hosts UP by a margin of 30 runs in the final.
Batting first, UP made 95 runs in eight overs, which in reply, J and K could not chase and was bowled out for 65 runs in seven overs. Meenaz Khaliq of J and K was declared Woman of the Tournament.
Meanwhile, in men’s section, J and K could not do well. The men’s title trophy went to host UP, who beat Karntaka by seven runs in the title clash.
