JAMMU: Red Cross Day was celebrated at JK Public School (JKPS) Panjtirthi. The celebration highlighted the fundamental principles of Red Cross Society like humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, volunteer service, unity and universality.
Jakiians made beautiful banners and embellished them whole heartedly. Jakiians exhibited a skit to explain the value of first aid assistance at the right time. Jakiians briefed and gave the tips and ideas to the audience to protect and save the sufferers from emergency and natural disasters.
The skit presented by Jakiians explained the working of Red cross organisations.
Meenu, the incharge of the celebration, explained that Red Cross is an organisation that provides ample opportunities to serve people in need and distress and Red Cross volunteers worldwide are known for their dedication and commitment.
The Principal of JKPS Panjtirthi, Suman Banbah conveyed, “It is the duty of every human being to serve humanity and must always do so to extend our contribution to the Red Cross.This day reminds us all to never step back when it is our turn to show a gesture of kindness.”
The Principal conducted a quiz pertaining to the celebration and the winners were also awarded.
