JK Public School Kunjwani organises educational tour of senior students to Satwari Airport

JAMMU: As a part of experiential learning, JK Public School Kunjwani organizes visits for its students to various hub of learning. As a sequel to that the school organized an insightful educational tour for its students to Satwari Airport, on Wednesday. The purpose of this visit was to provide our students with first-hand exposure to the various functions and operations taking place at the airport.

A group of 40 students from Grade-IX along with three teachers escort was welcomed by the airport staff, who guided them through the different departments like passenger service, airport travel process, security check, baggage check-in and luggage collection.
During the visit, the students interacted with airport staff who explained the importance of time management, coordination and the role of technology in modern-day airport operations. The students were also briefed on the sustainability initiatives taken by the airport including waste management and energy-saving technologies.
The school Principal, Rajesh Rathore said, “this visit has provided invaluable knowledge and a deeper understanding of the aviation sector, equipping our students with practical skills and experiences that extend beyond the classroom. This visit has been an eye-opener for our students, providing them with a hands-on understanding of real-world management systems”.
This educational tour to the airport is part of JKPS School’s ongoing efforts to expose students to diverse fields and provide them with practical knowledge beyond the classrooms. It was a successful and enriching experience for the students. Students expressed their excitement and enthusiasm after the visit.
