JAMMU: Mawlid, popularly known as Eid-e-Milad-Un-Nabi was commemorated on Thursday at JK Public School, Kunjwani with great fervour.
It is the birthday of the Islamic Prophet Mohammad which falls in the third month of the Islamic calendar.
The celebrations commenced with the singing of a Naat seeking the blessings of Almighty. A speech was delivered to highlight the vitality of the day. A Nazam titled ‘Ab To Mazhab Koi Aisa Bhi Chalaya Jaye, Insaan Ko Insaan Banaya Jaye’ was appreciated by one and all.
Principal, S.K Singh addressed the students, laying stress on the need of brotherhood and humanity in the society.
He also urged the students to involve in charity which is an asset and attribute of the privileged people.
The students were inspired to follow the path of unison which would pave the way for ultimate happiness.
