J&K Police organizes volleyball tournament in Kishtwar, Drabshalla-A wins trophy

KISHTWAR: Under the directions and supervision of DIG DKR Range Shridhar Patil, a volleyball tournament organized by RPHQ Batote under the Civic Action Programme 2023-24 in District Kishtwar, which concluded successfully on Wednesday.
SSP Kishtwar Abdul Qayoom was the Chief Guest on the occasion, who was accompanied by the officers of police/civil administration of the district.
Various teams from district Kishtwar participated in the tournament.
The final match was played between Drabshalla-A and Drabshalla, in which Drabshalla-A won the final match by 2 sets out of 3 sets and was awarded with cash rewards and mementos.
Speaking on the occasion, SSP Kishtwar, on behalf of DIG DKR, stated that such type of sporting events to connect with the youths under the banner of various ongoing welfare programmes of Police Department will be continued.
He said, it’s the collective responsibility of parents, civil society members and police to organize such type of events and provide platforms to keep the younger generation away from the scourge of Drugs Addiction, Anti-social/Anti-national Acts.
This type of sporting activity is constructive engagements with the youth to make society a better place for the younger generation and to explore their hidden talents.
