JAMMU: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has declared paid holiday for the voters of 04-Jalandhar (SC) Parliamentary Constituency of Punjab, working in the Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir for casting their vote on May 10, 2023.
“In terms of Section 135-B of the Representation of People Act, 1951, sanction is accorded to the grant of paid holiday in favour of Government employees/Semi Government employees/ Industrial Workers, who are registered voters of 04-Jalandhar (SC) Parliamentary Constituency, State of Punjab and are working in the Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, for casting their vote on the day of Poll i.e. May 10, 2023 (Wednesday) on account of Bye Elections to Lok Sabha, 2023,” reads an order issued by Sanjeev Verma, Commissioner/Secretary, General Administration Department.
