J&K gets 16th rank in KIYG

JAMMU: With 14 medals to their tally, the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir secured 16th rank in the 36 participating units in the Khelo India Youth Games (KIYG) hosted by Haryana at Panchkula The J&K medal tally of 14, included three gold, five silver and six bronze. The top position went to hosts Haryana with record 903 medals, including 269 gold. Maharashtra was too far in terms of the tally with 137 medals to secure overall second place while Karnataka finished third with 67 medals. Three participating units of Lakshadeep, Nagaland and Sikkim could not open their accounts while UT of Ladakh earned 30th rank with one silver and three bronze medals.
