JAMMU: J&K Bank Academy trounced Shaheen FC in the final of 2nd Vishal Heer Memorial Football Tourney to lift the title here on Friday.
The tournament was organised by Harbans Lal, in the memory of football player Master Vishal Heer who died in 2013.
The J&K Bank Academy won the final by scoring the lone goal by Prem Kumar in 26th minute.
Sunil Sayal of Shaheen Club was shown yellow card in the 75th minute of the final. Vijay Kumar, Suresh Gupta, Ricky Kumar, Dil Bahadur and Rohit Kumar Gupta were the match officials.
Cash prize of Rs. 31,000 was given to the winning team and Rs.21,000 to the runner-up team. Gulshan Kumar was honoured as ‘Upcoming Player’
Today’s match was witnessed by Chief Guest Vinod Kumar (SP City), Sheikh Mehmood, Kailash Chibber, S.M. Gill, Kuldeep Singh, Surinder Singh Bunty, Mohan Lal, Devi Dass, Ramesh Chander, Charan Dass, Narinder Gupta, Festus Sotra, Yousuf Don, David Masih, Rohit Kumar, Tushar Heer, Pankaj Kumar and Rajesh Sumberia.
