Kishtwar: Two persons (a JCB operator and labourer) died in Sarthal area of Kishtwar District after landslide hits their working place.
According to reports, a laborer and a JCB Operator working at road construction site died after they came under the landslide triggered due to weakening of the rocks in Sarthal area of Kishtwar.
Police said that, the incident took place when the laborers including the driver of JCB was working on the under construction Bagran-Sarthal road, which will connect Salana area of Saroor Kishtwar and suddenly a landslide triggers as a result of which a laborer and JCB operator comes under the debris of landslide and got buried under the huge boulders and rocks.
After listening about the incident, police party along with locals rushed to the spot and started rescue operation, after hectic operation, they recovered the dead bodies of both.
The deceased have been identified as Labourer Sanjay Kumar son of Tek Chand resident of Tagood Kishtwar and JCB operator Deepu Kumar resident of District Kathua.
