Jammu Sahodaya hosted Shiksha Bhushan Awards under aegis of Shoolini University

JAMMU: Jammu Sahodaya Schools Complex (JSSC), an organization of 70 CBSE schools in Jammu, Samba, Kathua & Udhampur & Shoolini University, India’s No. 1 Private University based in Kasauli Hills, Himachal Pradesh, organized a one-day school principal’s conclave, followed by Shiksha Bhushan Awards in Jammu.
Rajesh Rathore, President JSSC & Principal, JK Public School, Kunjwani lauded the commendable endeavours of the representatives from Shoolini University, namely, Avnee Khosla, Trustee & Vice President; Shikha Sood, the Head of Outreach; Praveen Vashisht, Advisor to VC, Vinmre & Vishakha for conferring Shiksha Bhushan Awards on the Principals and for recognizing their meritorious services to their schools. The event was attended by 61 dynamic principals from various schools in Jammu province.
This Principals’ Conclave was a testament to the commitment of Shoolini University and Jammu Sahodaya to foster an environment of continuous learning, innovation, and research in the field of education.
It provided a platform for educators, principals, and leaders to exchange ideas, celebrate successes, and collectively shape the future of education in the region. There was consensus that research based learning is critical for the improvement in the quality of education.
A high quality and engaging panel discussion on ‘Strategic Leadership for Schools in the Changing Scenario’ was brilliantly moderated by Dr. Kunal Anand, Principal DPS Udhampur and featured prominent speakers, including Rajesh Rathore, Principal JK Public School, Kunjwani; Rohini Aima, Principal & Vice Chairperson, Jammu Sanskriti School Jammu; Ranju Malhotra, Principal DBN Vidya Mandir; Girish Kumar, Principal, Jodhamal Public School, Jammu; Akash Pradhan, Principal, Heritage School, Jammu and Dr. Pramod Srivastava, Principal, Model Academy, Jammu, who shared valuable insights and experiences.
The topics covered included the role of a sound knowledge base, acquisition of language, physical fitness & stamina, aesthetic sensibility, presentation skills & leadership traits in becoming an all rounded and successful human being.
JSSC President Rajesh Rathore laid emphasis that the teachers should generate a positive educational environment to make the education better and added that the changes in the education could be made as per the requirement of student to face the present challenges.
Everyone was left inspired by the incredible journey of Vijaya Puri, Academic Director, Shemford Futuristic School Jammu, as an educator, who braved all the physical challenges and emerged a perennial source of inspiration for all the Edu-leaders. She said, “Though I am physically incomplete, I believe it is my duty to give holistic education to my pupils and make them complete individuals”.
Avanee Khosla, Trustee & Head – Admissions, made a substantial presentation on Shoolini University, India’s No 1 private University, highlighting its genesis, work culture, global faculty, admission procedure, scholarships etc. She said, “Shoolini University is the Top patent filer with 1400+ patents, filed by 900+ patent filers. In International collaboration, it stands at 64%, the highest of all 1400+ universities in India including IITs, NITs and more. Seven of its scientists are in Top 0.2% highly cited scientists, as per Stanford University list of global scientists. Our alumni are serving at Stanford, Columbia, INSEAD, GE, Ernst & Young, Merill-Bank of America, Marsh, Mercer, Nestle, Biocon, LG, ITC, HDFC, ICICI & others”.
Shoolini University took lead in recognizing the immense potential and ongoing contributions of principals towards nation building through education and honoured them with ‘Shiksha Bhushan Awards’. A total of 61 Principals attended the conference. Munmum Kohli conducted the proceedings and Praveen Vashisht, ex-Headmaster Lawrence School, Sanawar (HP) offered a formal vote of thanks.
