JAMMU: Jammu Police on Wednesday launched a dedicated helpline for women in distress. This helpline will be served by a dedicated phone number which will cater to the needs of women in distress.
The helpline number was dedicated to public by ADGP Jammu Zone Anand Jain along with DIG JSK Dr. Sunil Gupta and SSP Jammu Dr. Vinod Kumar in a function at Women’s Police Station Gandhi Nagar on eve of International Women’s Day. ADGP Jammu said that ensuring safety and security of women is the priority of J&K Police. He also said that in addition to women’s Police Station Gandhi Nagar, Women Help Desks are functioning at all the Police Stations in Jammu District to assist and facilitate disposal of complaints by women.
ADGP Jammu urged the people of the Jammu District to make maximum use of this helpline and seek the best possible assistance from the Police Department. The women helpline for Jammu is 9906310101.
