SRINAGAR: Police Public Mela at Srinagar was postponed due to heavy floods in the Valley, would now be held at Jammu after opening of Darbar Move. The raffle draw tickets already sold would remain valid for prizes.
A communiqué issued from Police Headquarters (PHQ) here today reads that due to heavy floods, it has been decided that 25th Police Public Mela would be held now at Jammu for which final date and venue would be circulated later on.
Pertinently, the Mela was scheduled to be held at Bakshi Stadium Srinagar on 7th September, 2014 but was postponed due to heavy rains. The communiqué further reads that the tickets sold to the public would remain intact for raffle draw of prizes.
