Jagti Township tenement committee holds protest

JAMMU: A protest was held at Jagti Township Nagrota Jammu by the Jagti Tenement Committee/Soan Kashmir Front J&K under the chairmanship of its President Shadi Lal Pandita in which resident KPs participated.
Addressing the members, Pandita demanded 5 assembly seats and two parliament seats be given to Kashmiri Pandits for political reservation. The JTC members appealed to the Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha to direct the Power Department to provide uninterrupted power supply to the migrants of Jagti township. The members also appealed to Govt. of India to fulfill the demands of the Kashmiri Pandits which include remove the illegal encroachments on the land of Kashmiri Pandits, create three satellite townships for Kashmiri Pandits near Baramulla, Srinagar and Anantnag, the losses of 33 years of land/other properties should be given to Kashmiri Pandits, enhance monthly cash relief enhancement from Rs 13,000 to Rs 25,000 for per family per month, create at least 20000 jobs for unemployed educated Kashmiri Pandits youth, On- spot police recruitment drive be done in Jagti township etc.
