JAMMU: J and K Sports Power-lifting Association team brought laurels to the State by winning medals in recently concluded Subrata Classic International Powerlifting, Dead- Lift and Bench-Press Powerlifting Championship at Jamshedpur, Jharkhand.
Rakesh Kumar won gold medal in Dead-lift, silver in Bench-Press and bronze in Power-lifting; Vijay Choudhary bagged bronze in dead-lift; Pankaj verma won bronze medal in bench-press; Megha Jain won bronze in dead-lift and power-lifting; Irvinder Kour won bronze in bench-press and dead-lift and silver in powerlifting; and Harmeet Kour won silver medal in bench-press and dead-lift.
The team was honoured on Sunday here by the Managing Committee of the association comprising of Rajan Jain (General Secretary), Aditi Sharma (Secretary), Vinay Sharma (Media Secretary), Preet Dutta (joint secretary) and Sanjeev (member).
