INTUC seeks regularization of daily wagers

JAMMU: State President, Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC), Shiv Kumar Sharma sought regularization of daily wagers who have been working for more than two decades.
Shiv called upon the State Govt to redress the problems being faced by the working fraternity of State on Wednesday.
He asked the government to absorb such workers as permanent employees on priority.
He stressed upon the Finance Department to envisage ways for speedy withdrawal from GP Fund accounts, so that the employees are saved from raising loans from outside agencies who charges exorbitant interest rates in turn.
The president also demanded release already announced 17 per cent hike in DA immediately and also to sanction 6 per cent another hike in DA which has been released by the Central Government to their employees recently.
Appealing the state government to raise the daily minimum wages limit to an adequate extent, Sharma advised the working fraternity to be prepared to get their lights and legitimate due with struggle and hard work.
