SAMBA: Purmandal Zone outplayed Vijaypur Zone in volleyball final by 2-0 in the girls section and lifted the trophy in the Inter-school Zone level under-19 Tournament being organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports District Samba, here on Tuesday.
The tournament is being held under the guidance of Director General DYSSO and supervision of District Youth Services and Sports Officer Samba, Subash Chander Bhardwaj.
The dignitaries present on the closing ceremony were Zonal Physical Education Officers, Rakesh Verma, B.D Sharma, Vijay Singh Slathia, Pardeep Singh and Raghubir Singh.
Chief Guest, Subash Chander Bhardwaj, District Youth Services and Sports Officer Samba gave away prizes to winners.
In Kho-Kho, Samba Zone defeated Ghagwal Zone by four points while Ghagwal Zone defeated Ramgarh Zone in kabbadi final by six points in girls section.
The events were officiated by the technical panel comprising Anirudh Singh Slathia, Dildar Singh, Sumant Singh, Subash Sharma, Raj Kumar, Mukesh Sharma, Kishore Sharma, Bhupinder Singh, Sandeep Singh, Keshav Singh, Kapoor Chand, Zorawar Singh Sambyal, Sudesh Sharma, Sardari Lal, Darbari Lal, Shashi Sambyal, Asha Rani, Roopa Sambyal, Rajni Devi and Rama Rani.
