Leads delegation to Union Education Minister for release of funds

AMRITSAR: BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh on Sunday said that the inter-faith centre that was mooted by the Modi government to be set up in the Guru Nak Dev University here on the occasion of 550th Parkash Divas of Guru Nanak Dev ji would be completed soon.
Chugh led a delegation to Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan in Delhi and presented him a memorandum for the release of funds allocated for the project.
Chugh said while Rs 33.56 crores have been released by the Centre already, the Union Minister was requested that the rest of the amount be released soon .
Chugh said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been endeavouring to spread the message of Guru Nanak Devi ji and other Sikh Gurus across the globe because the message of love for humanity propagated by the Gurus needed to be disseminated all over the world.
Chugh said inter-faith centres on the pattern of the one coming up in the Guru Nanak Dev University would be set up at other places also in near future.
