SRINAGAR: Former Mini-ster Abdul Gani Vakil on Sunday said Centre and State Governments have completely failed in resolving Kashmir issue as now it seems that they are not serious in resolving the same.
Reiterating the urgency of initiating unconditional dialogue in Jammu and Kas-hmir, Vakil called for engaging all sections of the society in a credible and meaningful political process for the resolution of Kashmir issue. “The country’s political leadership must without any further delay, reach out and engage all sections including the Hurriyat Conference leaders in a productive process to the issue and make peace a reality in Jammu and Kashmir,” Vakil added. Vakil also lambasted the war mongers who now and then only talk of war between India and Pakistan to resolve Kashmir issue.
“They should understand two wars had been witnessed in the past between India and Pakistan on Kashmir issue but the issues were not resolved,” he said. “If we fail to address this priority our country will lag behind and will be in no comparison with the developed countries and both the countries should understand war is no solution.
It is problem which we will be creating for future generations because our economy will go haywire and will be leaving nothing fruitful for future generations,” he mentioned.
