Dear Editor,
The idea of door-to-door screening programme for early detection of non-communicable diseases, slated to be launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 4th February, is commendable. The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare needs to be applauded for the same.
However, training and implementation of such a large-scale programme will be challenging. It is also important to ensure that the programme does not die down after the initial launch. What is important is successful implementation of the programme so that benefits flow to the remotest area of the country.
