SRINAGAR: A Hizbul Mujahideen militant has been arrested near the LoC in Kupwara District, police said on Monday.
Showkat Ahmad Awan, a resident of Pehlipora village of Shopian District, was arrested on 9th January near the LoC in Tangdar sector of Kupwara, police said. They said an AK rifle, two AK magazines, 67 rounds, one pistol, one pistol magazine, one hand grenade was recovered from Awan’s possession.
Awan belongs to the Hizbul Mujahideen militant outfit, the police said.
