JAMMU: Hiranagar Club and Khalsa Club have qualified for the semifinals after these teams topped their respective pools in the ongoing Senior Hockey Tournament, organised by Hockey Jammu and Kashmir and sponsored by J and K State Sports Council, at KK Hakku Stadium, here on Friday.
Earlier, in today’s scheduled match, Hiranagar Club trounced Kashmir Singh Sangat Hockey Club 3-0. Rajinder Singh (14th and 30th) and Sandeep Sharma (48th) were the scorers. Today’s match was officiated by the technical panel comprising Iqbal Singh, Karanjit Singh, J.S Reen and Vijay Vaid. Satvir Singh (IAF) was Special Guest in today’s match, who was introduced with the teams by General Secretary Hockey J and K, G.S Bakshi.
FIXTURE: MBS Club Simbal Camp shall take on Deshmesh Club Nanak Nagar while Zorawar Club Satwari shall meet Guru Nanak Nagar Club Nanak Nagar tomorrow.
