High air fare: DB seeks response within four weeks

JAMMU: A Division Bench of State High Court comprising Chief Justice M.M Kumar and Justice Tahsi Rabstan granted last opportunity to Union of India and Air India limited to file their response within four weeks.
The Public Interest Litigation (PIL) was filed by former President Chamber of Commerce Y.V Sharma and Advocate Baldev Singh against the exorbitant air fares charged by airlines, no accountability over delay thus forcing passengers missing their connecting flights and the petitioners have sought direction to respondents to submit the details.
Advocate Meenakshi Salathia appeared for the PIL whereas Senior Advocate D.C Raina and Advocates Inderjeet Gupta, S.K Shukla, Vikas Sharma, Anil Verma and Rakesh Sharma appeared for airlines. JNF
