Hideout busted in Kishtwar, cache of arms recovered

KISHTWAR: Police and security forces achieved major success by effecting recovery of a large quantity of arms and ammunition from the hideout of terrorists during a joint search operation in the Shree Forest area under the jurisdiction of Police Station Chatroo in the mountainous district of Kishtwar.
Reports revealed that on specific information police in association with column of 11 Rashtriya Rifle launched a joint search operation in the Shree Forest area of Kishtwar District. During search operation troops busted a hideout used by terrorists believed in the past and recovered huge cache of arms/ammunition and explosives.. The seized arms/ammunition include; one round live 7.62 mm , 943 Nos. of 7.1 , two UBGL throwers , one RPG shell , 11 other , 18 AGS grenades, five IED charge sticks, two IED switch control devices, two empty magazines of Ak-47 , five IED batteries, 10 IED switches, one empty ammunition box which was destroyed on spot.
On this, a case vide FIR No.30/2016 under section 7/25 A.Act, 120-B/121-A RPC, 4/5 Exp. Substance Act was registered in Police Station Chatroo.
