Heritage, APS Domana, DPS win in Sportathon 2016

JAMMU: Heritage School and Army Public School (APS) Domana won their respective matches on the third day of the Sportathon Cup 2016, an Inter School multi-sports competitions, organised by KC Sports Club in the indoor cricket hall of the Club, here on Wednesday.
In the first indoor match, Heritage School outplayed KC International School by 20 runs.
Batting first, Heritage School set a target of 42 runs in 10 overs. Aarsh was the top scorer with 26 runs while Simrandeep and Gurdut made eight runs each. For KC International, Yuvraj and Vasu shared two wickets each.
In reply, KC International failed to chase the target and made only 22 runs thus lost the match by 20 runs. Omar and Vasoo made five runs each. For Heritage School, Shaimak and Ashish shared three wickets each. In another match, APS Domana outplayed Delhi Public School (DPS) by two runs in close contest.
APS Domana, batting first, put up a score of 31 runs in 10 overs. Anmol made eight runs whereas Samragya and Pranav scored six and four runs respectively. For DPS, Madhav grabbed five wickets while Dhruv and Shahzad shared two each.
In reply, Delhi Public School was all out at 29 in 9.2 overs. Yuvraj scored nine runs and Chitwan also contributed seven. For APS Domana, Amit clinched four wickets and Shahzad took two.
Meanwhile, in the outdoor match, Delhi Public School downed KC Public School (KCPS) by 19 runs.
Batting first, Delhi Public School set a target of 109 runs in 15 overs. Harsimar played a fine knock of 46 runs followed by Rajpartap and Anmol, who made 26 and 14 runs respectively. For KCPS, Jaswinder picked three wickets.
In reply, KCPS failed to chase the target and manage to score 90 in allotted overs. Vansh and Jagpreet made five runs. For DPS, Shaimak and Ashish shared three wickets each.
