HC issues notice to Ch Lal Singh in an appeal filed by ED

JAMMU: The Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh High Court today after hearing DSGI Vishal Sharma issued notice to former Minister and Dogra Swabhiman Sangathan Party (DSSP) Supremo Lal Singh in an appeal filed by Enforcement Directorate against the order of Trial Court whereby Trial Court granted interim bail.
During the course of hearing DSGI Vishal Sharma submitted that since the matter involves consideration of bail application only pending investigation by the Enforcement Directorate, in as much as this Court as well as the Court of Special Judge Anticorruption, CBI Cases, Jammu both have been designated as Special Courts under PMLA, thus, have jurisdiction to consider cases arising thereto. However, the instant case is not related to taking of cognizance of the offences under PMLA, because complaint is yet to be filed.
Justice Rajnesh Oswal after hearing DSGI Vishal Sharma issued notice to former Minister and Dogra Swabhiman Sangathan Party (DSSP) Supremo Lal Singh and ordered that any order passed by the Trial Court shall be subject to final outcome of petition.
