JAMMU: Asking that the Maharaja of Jammu and Kashmir has acceded to the succession of Jammu and Kashmir with India, National Sikh Front (NSF), Jammu and Kashmir, appealed to United Nations to handover the area of J and K which is illegally occupied by Pakistan to India. “In 1994 Parliament of India passed a resolution unanimously to free Pakistan occupied Kashmir from Pakistan and now it is the responsibility of Narendra Modi Government to implement the resolution and put it to action,” Chairman NSF, Varinderjeet Singh told reporters here on Tuesday.
He criticised the opposition parties National Conference, Congress and CPM when they met with President of India and asked him to restore peace in the Valley, rather they should have asked President to put pressure on Modi Govt to implement the resolution of 1994 because all these parties were also included in passing the resolution. Congress Party initiated this resolution into the House of Parliament.
He said that in Pakistan occupied Kashmir, the status of Kashmiris is worst than second grade citizens.
In Jammu and Kashmir because of article 370, no one from outside the State can purchase land or do a Govt job but in POJK the situation is opposite, he said.
The voices of locals of PoJK, he said, are suppressed by Pakistan Government with the help of ISI and militants present in the area.
The government should free PoJK from Pakistan and give POJK refugees the land and settle them because they are Indians and want to live in India.
Kulwant Singh Bhatti, Darshan Singh, G.S Bali, Gurcharan Singh Sudan and Ramnik Singh were also present in the press conference.
