GST Seva Kendra inaugurated at Central Excise Commissionerate

JAMMU: C.L Dogra, Additional Commissioner of Central Excise Commissionerate, J&K along with Lalit Mahajan, President of Bari Brahmana Industries Association inaugurated GST Seva Kendra at the Office of the Commissioner of Central Excise, J&K at Rail Head Complex.
Speaking on the occasion, Dogra said that the Central Board of Excise and Customs has taken the initiative of starting Seva Kendras across the country to facilitate migration of assessees to GST.
He said that the GST Seva Kendra shall be open on all working days from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM and would facilitate the assesses in uploading the required documents for registration under GST. He said the facility would also clear trade’s doubts, besides creating awareness on GST.
The Seva Kendra is connected online with GSTN portal and Central Board of Excise and Customs portal and is being manned by experienced and well-trained officers who will guide the assessees migrating to GST and resolve their difficulties, if any. The Additional Commissioner urged all the existing Central Excise assesses to utilise the Seva Kendra to make GST a success.
While appreciating the initiative, Lalit Mahajan said that the facility will provide on-spot solution for all central excise tax payers to complete their migration process including filling up all the relevant details and appealed central excise assesses to avail the benefit of GST Seva Kendra.
Among others present on the occasion were Rajan Lachala, Shweta Bector Deputy Commissioners, Iftikhar Chowdhary Assistant Commissioner, Satish Kaul, Ajay Langar, Taranvir Singh Gujral and officers of Central Excise Commissionerate.
