JAMMU: The government on Monday ordered the winding up of the Department of Stationery & Office Supplies.
“Sanction is accorded to the closure/winding-up of Jammu and Kashmir, Department of Stationery and Office Supplies with the following line of action,” reads an order issued by Amit Sharma, Secretary Jammu and Kashmir ARI and Trainings Department.
“The employees of the winded-up department shall be deployed to the Government Departments as per need and shall be governed by their existing rules and regulations till their retirement from service,” the order reads.
“All fixed and movable assets of the winded-up department at Jammu/Kashmir shall be utilized by other government departments depending upon their requirement,” it added.
It further stated that the liabilities, if any, pending against the department, shall be referred to ARI & Trainings Department for clearance of government accounts after thorough Verification.
“The official records shall be handed over to the ARI & Trainings Department for future correspondence and record,” reads the order.
