JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir Government on Thursday constituted a tribunal under Shri Mata Sukrala Devi Shrine and Shri Mata Bala Sundri Shrine Act, 2013 and appointed Jeet Lal Gupta, presently, Chairperson of Jammu and Kashmir State Commission for Backward Classes as its Chairman.
The government also appointed Hukam Chand Basotra Advocate and social worker as Member of the Tribunal. An order to this effect was issued by the Secretary to Government, Tourism Department, Farooq Ahmed Shah.
The tribunal shall recommend compensation to be paid by the Shrine Board to Purohits and other right holders in lieu of extinction of their rights. The tribunal may consider offering employment to any right holder in case such right holders surrender his right to compensation.
