GMC Jammu gets two First Responder Vehicles

JAMMU: Under its CSR initiatives for COVID relief efforts, Hero Motocorp, the world’s largest manufacturer of two wheelers, donated two specially designed first responder vehicles (FRV’s) bike Ambulance to Govt Medical College Jammu.
The vehicles were handed over by Pradeep Jain and Sanjeev Jain of Jainco Hero Jammu in presence of Kamal Pal Incharge CSR Hero Motocorp to Dr. Shashi Sudhan Principal Govt Medical College Jammu in presence of Dr. Dara Singh Medical superintendent GMC Jammu. These unique and utilitarian vehicles will be useful for reaching out to patients and the needy in rural and remote areas and comfortably moving them to the nearest hospitals. These vehicles have been custom built as an accessory on the powerful XTREME 200R motorcycles of Hero Motocorp, said Vijay Sethi Head CSR Hero Motocorp.
These FVR’s (Bike Ambulance) have been equipped with a full stretcher with a foldable hood mounted on the side, essential medical equipment such as a detachable first aid kit, oxygen cylinders, five extinguisher and other safety features such as LED flasher lights, foldable beacon light, emergency wireless public announcement system and siren.
Till date, Hero Motocorp has handed over more than 50 such Bike Ambulance to the government authorities of various states like Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, UP, Gujarat, Andra Pardesh, Himachal Pardesh, Maharashtra and Mizoram.
