HIRANAGAR: The Psychological Counseling Cell of Girdhari Lal Dogra Memorial (GLDM) Degree College Hiranagar organized an online essay writing competition on the theme ‘Drug Abuse: Its Causes, Effects and Remedial Measures’.
The event was held under the banner of Manodarpan, an initiative by Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) with an aim to provide psycho-social support and counselling to students for their mental health and well-being amid the COVID-19 situations.
In the competition, the students namely Nishu Kumari (Semester III), Komal Devi (Semester III) and Prinka Sharma (Semester I) secured first, second and third positions respectively.
The event was held under the guidance of the Principal of the College Prof. K.S Kousal and under the supervision of the Convenor of the Committee, Dr. Anju Rani as well as the Mental Health Facilitator of the College, Prof. Karam Chand.
Also present were Prof. Gurdyal, Prof. Rakesh Sharma, Dr. Varinder Snigh, Prof. Kiran Thapa, Dr. Arun Kumar, Dr. Anil Kumar Dogra, and Prof. Arvind Kumar.
The Principal felicitated the meritorious students by awarding them the certificates of participation.
