POUNI: Government Girls High School Pouni organised a seminar cum plantation drive in its school campus on the theme Van Mahotsava under the guidelines of Chief Education Officer Reasi and ZEO Pouni.
Students expressed their ideas over the theme while Khusi Sharma of 10th class stood first, Guntas Kour of 9th class second and Bhoomika Sharma of class 10th secured third Position.
Gopal Sharma, Zonal Education Officer Pouni who was the Chief Guest on the occasion distributed prizes and certificates among the participants. ZEO Pouni encouraged the organisers of the event especially the voluntarism of the teacher namely Sanjeev Kumar Sharma under whose extra efforts, awareness campain in the form of lectures, rallies followed by the plantation of hundreds of saplings of medicinal, fruits and ornamental plants in the Government Schools of Zone Pouni viz. GHSS Pouni,GHSS Bharakh,GHS Kheralair,GMS Lair,GMS Sungal, GMS Kahana, GMS Pouni, GMS Purya and Government Girls High School Pouni was organised in the recent fortnight.
Ujjagar Singh,Gagan Preet Kour, Ranjeeta Manhas, Daljeet Kour, Pooja Devi, Baljeet Kour, Renu Devi and Ganesh Dass the teaching staff were present on the occasion.
