POONCH: A day long programme was organised by NSS unit of Govt. Degree College Poonch in the college campus to celebrate , National Voluntary Blood Donation Day. The programme was organised by Prof. Khadam Hussain and Dr. Shamim Ahmed Banday NSS Programme Officers under the overall supervision of Dr. Mushtaq Ahmed Lone Principal GDC Poonch. The theme of the programme was, ‘Rakt Dan Kar Ke Dekho, Achha Lage Ga’. Large number of NSS volunteers both male and female participated in the programme.
In the first phase a lecture session was organised in the smart class room of Geography Department, where the NSS programme officers and NSS group leaders delivered lectures on the theme. In the second phase painting competition was organised where the NSS volunteers depicted the spirit of the theme through paintings. In the last phase a rally was organised highlighting the importance of voluntary blood donation, which culminated in the campus.
