JAMMU: The senior boarders of the Boy’s Hostel Old Campus, University of Jammu organised Freshers Party on Friday in the Hostel. Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. R.D Sharma was the Chief Guest.
The party was started with the welcome address proposed by the Provost Boy’s Hostel, Prof. Jasbir Singh and ended with the vote of thanks by the Warden Dr. Lalit Sen Sharma.
A cultural programme was also presented by the senior and junior boarders.
Prof. R.D Sharma said that hostel is an institution which makes the boarders to learn many aspects of the life off the class. It makes them to learn discipline and self- reliance, he added.
He stressed upon to lead a simple life and asked the boarders to work hard to excel in their respective fields they have to choose.
The party was also attended by Prof. Ramnika Jalali, Provost Girls Hostel, wardens and resident wardens of the other hostels of the university.
