JAMMU: Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) criticised the role of authorities at the helm of affairs for not taking the issue of employees seriously and non-seriousness of government has put all these employees in mental trauma.
In the meeting held here on Monday, EJAC President, Abdul Qayoom Wani discussed the problems faced by the employees working under different centrally sponsored schemes on contractual basis. Wani said that thousands of qualified youth with professional and technical degrees are working in different centrally sponsored schemes like NHM, NRHM, SSA, RMSA, MGNREGA, SBM, Anganwari Workers and other schemes on contractual basis having no job security.
Wani said that these professionally trained employees protested repeatedly for their regularization and job security besides for regulating their salaries, but unfortunately the government is paying deaf ear towards their genuine demands.
Wani demanded that government should frame a clear cut policy for their regularisation alongwith a concrete policy for regulating their services, otherwise EJAC will directly support these employees for getting their demands fulfilled of job security and regulating services.
