JAMMU: Convener of OBC Intellectual Forum, Shashi Verma strongly criticised all main stream political parties for their failure to endow justice to Other Backward Classes (OBC) community for the last sixty years and not granting mandate to any candidate belonging to this community.
Verma hailed State unit of BSP for reposing faith in OBCs and giving mandate to three candidates from OBC community in the State Assembly elections.
Verma appealed to the OBC community in particular to cast their valuable votes in favour of OBC candidates contesting elections on BSP mandate. He said that Dr Harjeet Prajapati from Suchetgarh, Mohinder Kashyap from Jammu West and Jagdish Raj Verma from Vijaypur Constituency are their candidates.
Verma cautioned the main stream political parties that they may not expect votes from OBC Community in these Assembly elections as the community can now differentiate between right and the wrong.
Others who were present in the meeting included Joginder Kumar, Charanjeet Bitta, Om Parkash and Balwant Raj.
