JAMMU: Shanshah Club and Singh Akhnoor Club registered wins in the Fifth Eid Diwali Milan Cricket Cup being jointly organised by Simula Sports and Vishal Club in collaboration with Jammu Police and Sports Council at Parade Ground, here on Friday. In the first match of the day, Shanshah Club defeated ICC XI by 60 runs.
Batting first, Shanshah Club was bowled out for 118 runs in 16 overs. Anuj (34), Shabeer (12) and Shafiq (11) runs were the main scorers. For ICC XI, Rishav and Akshay shared four wickets each while Manhas took one. ICC XI, in reply, could not chase the target and made only 58 runs for loss of ten wickets in 17.3 overs. Manhas (14) and Sourav (10) were the main scorers.
Shabeer picked four wickets, while Amir, Akhit and Shafiq sharewd apiece. Shabeer was declared Man of the Match. In another match, Singh Akhnoor Club defeated Rajouri Stadium Club by 51 runs. Batting first, Singh Akhnoor Club scored 109 runs for the loss of six wickets in 20 overs. Sunny made 43 runs followed by Rahul and Rakesh, who scored 15 runs each. Imran and Yasir shared two wickets each while Tahir and Asif took one each. In reply, Rajouri Stadium Club failed to chase the target and made only 58 runs in 9.5 overs for the loss of ten wickets. Tahir (19), Pankaj (15) and Vinay (10) were the main scorers. Bodhraj clinched four wickets while Binny and Rizwan shared three each. Bodhraj was declared Man of the Match.
