JAMMU: Simula Sports Club to face KC Sports Club in the final of the ongoing Fifth Eid Diwali Milan Cricket Cup, organised jointly by Simula Sports and Vishal Club in collaboration with Jammu Police and Jammu Sports Council at Parade Ground, here on Monday.
Earlier in the first semifinal played on Sunday, KC Sports Club defeated Vishal Cricket XI by seven wickets.
Batting first, Vishal Club scored 106 runs in 20 overs for the loss of seven wickets. Rajesh Gill was the top scorer with 43 runs.
For KC Sports Club, Ajay, Ishant and Vivek shared two wickets each while Abhishant grabbed one.
In reply, KC Sports Club chased the target in 17.5 overs for the loss of three wickets.
Amritpal (35), Ateev Sainy (30) and Ashim (25) were the main scorers.
Rajesh Gill, Vishwajeet Singh and Yasir shared apiece each. Amritpal was declared Man of the Match.
In another semifinal, Simula Sports XI outplayed Singh Akhnoor Club by 186 runs. Batting first, Simula Sports Club set a challengeable target of 219 runs for the loss of five wickets in 20 overs. Shashi and Satish played a fine knock of 65 and 61 runs respectively while Atul added 34 runs to the total.
Sunil picked two wickets while, Rajiv, Rajinder and Sahil shared one each.
In reply, Singh Akhnoor was bundled out for mere 33 runs in 11 overs. None of their batsman reach in double fugure.
Gulzar grabbed three wickets while Vikram, Sahil and Raman share two each. Shashi was declared Man of the Match.
The matches were officiated by Sanjay, Sandeep Manchanda and Vinod.
