Kupwara: An encounter between suspected militants and forces broke out Tuesday in Handwara area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
Reports said that on specific information about the presence of three militants in a village of Wadar area in Handwara, a joint team of police and Army launched a search operation during the night.
Sources said the suspected militants fired upon the search party resulting in an encounter which was going on when the reports last came in.
