JAMMU: National Conference President and former Chief Minister, Dr Farooq Abdullah on Sunday visited the residences of the Pt Mangat Ram Sharma, former minister and veteran party leader Pyare Lal Handoo and BJP MLC, Ramesh Arora to personally convey condolences on the passing away of the former Deputy Chief Minister, Sharma, Mrs Handoo and Sadhya Arora. Dr Abdullah, who was accompanied by Provincial President, Devender Singh Rana and State Vice President, Rattan Lal Gupta described the death of Pt Mangat Ram Sharma as a great loss and recalled his contribution in socio-economic development of the State. “With his death the state has lost a sincere and veteran political leader”, he told the mourners.
The former Chief Minister expressed deep grief over the passing away of Mrs Handoo and conveyed condolences personally to the bereaved family members.
Terming the death of Sadiya Arora as most tragic, Dr Abdullah consoled Ramesh Arora and prayed for granting the bereaved family members strength to bear this irreparable loss.
