REASI: Under the Central Sponsored Scheme, Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH), a group of 32 farmers was sent on an exposure cum training visit outside the State. The tour was flagged off by the Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Shabir Ahmad Bhat on Wednesday.
The tour is being organised by Horticulture Department and the farmers will visit Himachal Pradesh. Major thrust of this visit shall remain on dissemination of technology, to know about modern scientific know how and applied technology in horticulture sector.
DC Reasi, stressed upon the farmers to take full advantage of such programmes. Chief Horticulture Officer Susheel K Angurana briefed DC about the programme and also interacted with the farmers. He also took stock of arrangements made for the visit of farmers. The farmers are accompanied by HDO Pouni Ramesh Kumar Sharma.
