JAMMU: Kissan Advisory Board has imparted clear cut directions to the Agriculture Department for making regular availability of seeds and chemical fertilisers to the farming community well in time. According to sources , Agriculture Department Jammu Division has been given the specific directions by Daljeet Singh Chib , Deputy Chairman Kissan Advisory Board J and K. Discussions were held with regard to the issue involved on Friday in the meeting convened by the board under the chairmanship of Daljeet Singh Chib , Deputy Chairman Kissan Advisory Board.
Chib described that these two inputs are very essential for the agricultural production and therefore more and more stress should be on making the availability of these important inputs to the farming community without any delay . The functionaries of the Agriculture Department briefed the Deputy Chairman Kissan Advisory Board that they are facing the problems due to the non availability proper sale centre. Reacting to this, he imparted instructions to the departmental functionaries for selecting a place for such centre at the appropriate location in Jammu region. The functionaries of the Agriculture Department further briefed that prior to sowing of Kharif crops, the requisite crop insurance shall be done by the department through the insurance company. Deputy Chairman Kissan Advisory Board Daljeet Singh Chib directed all the governmental functionaries to work in close coordination for the ultimate benefit of the farming community.
