JAMMU: To mark the celebration of National Sports Day organised every year on the birthday of the hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand, a sports meet was organised by the Shiva Roller Skating Institute, Peerkho on Friday in which the exhibition match was played among the players of Shiva Roller Skating Institute, Peerkho and players of MA Stadium and JMPS.
The match was organised by Indiana Roller Skating Club under the aegis of Jammu and Kashmir Roller Skating Association.
Senior BJP leader, Yudhvir Sethi was the Chief Guest on the occasion and Deputy Commissioner, Commercial Taxes, Appeals, Jammu, Pankaj Magotra was the Guest of Honour who distributed prizes among the players.
President, J and K Roller Skating Association, G.S Khurmi urged the players to inculcate the spirit of sportsman as the legend Major Dhyan Chand was having and should follow the path shown by the hockey legend.
The match was officiated by P.P Singh, Jatinder Sharma and Jasmeet Singh.
